Hello,

Yes, thanks for pointing out that typo. C-40X is Okuma technology, so everything else in the paragraph is correct.

Okuma upped their game when they made the Helios, combining both innovative design and quality construction to produce a reel capable of handling anything it encounters.

Knowing what ultralight anglers are looking for, they focused on reducing weight and improving performance — hitting it out of the park in both cases. Plus they did it at a fraction of the price many others are charging for delivering far less.

Features

The C-40X technology allows Daiwa to offer a body and rotor with a very lightweight without sacrificing strength.
Not a reliable source.

I would also suggest that you consider the following two reels: Pfluger President XT and Shimano Soare 500s CI4+.

The President only weighs in at 5.6oz for the C20 model which is on par with almost all 1000 series reels from other manufacturers. Mine is very smooth and has proven time and again to hold up to 28″ redfish. The Soare is only available in Japan but can be ordered online for around $250. They weigh 5oz and once again hold up magnificently to redfish, even over 30″. The price range is well within the range of several reels you discuss. One more nugget us the Lew’s speed spin combo. It is lightweight, compact, easy to store in luggage or vehicle and easily catches bass and speckled trout up to 5lbs. For the money, it’s hard to beat.
