A best of about fly fishing but it doesn’t include Scott, Thomas & Thomas, any European brands. I’m also perplexed as to why early in the article you referred to them as fly “poles”. Experienced anglers know that poles don’t have reels, rods do. Of course it’s just an opinion piece, limited to those samples you could acquire. Believe me, there are far better rods out there, and if you include the custom rod market, many more. A great article might be the best American made rods.
