The other parts of the article were pretty good though.

The Bowtech Reign 7 is described thusly: It’s a lightweight 4.3 pounds and delivers a consistently smooth and controlled draw. Then the very next bow in the article, the SAS Rage is described like this: It weighs 4.4 pounds which make it fairly heavy, although a fair price to pay for money.
How in the world does the writer come to the conclusion that a difference of 0.1 lbs makes one bow “feather weight” or “fairly heavy” Makes you wonder what he was thinking….

Hi Janett, I think you are spot on with your choice. In fact my wife’s first bow was the Infinite Edge. I wasn’t sure if she would want to get into archery hunting, so rather than spending $1,000.00 or so for her to shoot one weekend and then toss the bow under the bed never to be shot again, I spent a few hundred bucks and like you are saying, she started off at a very low poundage and worked her way up. After she shot it for a year, she graduated to the Eva Shockey Bowtech. Because of the versatility of the Infinite Edge, my six year old now shoots that bow. But just know, there is no backstop on the Infinite Edge so it is somewhat difficult to be consistent. Get a good anchor point and be patient, but most importantly, be safe and have fun!

Tommygun, it is just like the question of what is better, Dodge, Ford or Chevy? Each person has their opinion and preference as to what suits them the best. I personally am a Chevy fan, not because I think it’s the only truck out there, but because the Allison Transmission has never let me down. My buddy will fight me on decisions to buy Chevys as he is a Powerstroke and only Powerstroke guy. With that being said, are there better Hoyt bows out there? Well, that depends on the individual. I could preach to you what bow is statistically best, or what bow I believe to be best, but my best advice would be to visit your local pro shop and go in with an open mind and shoot every bow they will let you shoot. That way you will find what is comfortable for you. When you are comfortable shooting, you can shoot longer, more accurate and most importantly, shooting is more enjoyable.

I’ve also played around with Hoyt bows before, and they are out of this world. I’d highly recommend them to hunters who have a larger budget and can justify the cost!

I agree with the previous comment, I invested in a Hoyt bow (different model but similar) and haven’t regretted it at all. Not only does it have incredible power but customer service was stellar and they tuned it up for me at the perfect draw length etc. Highly recommended.

Standard arrows will explode with a 60+lb draw weight, especially on a bow like the Hoyt.
