I also own the Bullet and Omega Pro. The trion was tried in the store. It felt very similar to the president. The Pres is actually smoother than my omega. Its really good , and not just for the price. The omega when I took out the 10 lb and went a little lighter # is much better. Really shines on a good rod. The bullet is fricken masterpiece. It actually reels a little too fast, but makes it more enjoyable with a nice constant retrieve. All 3 are top notch IMO.

I am looking to try the Daiwa Gold and see how it compares. I still have old Johnson Centuries that are 60 years old. They built them to last back then. We shall see how long the newer spincasts last.

I much prefer the simplicity of just sitting in the canoe with a spincast. You don’t need 150 yards. In fact 50 is more than most of them can cast anyway. No birdnest, simple one hand casts. Ideal in tight confines. Small pickerel and large bass can easily be handled on even 8 lb test. Its meant for normal fishing, not giant muskies and pike. So if thats what you are fishing for they make the perfect reel. Not just for beginners either. A quality spincast is a huge surprise for people who only ever fished with a cheap rod and reel combo for 25 bucks.

I recommend people give it another try. Even with a bullet(which goes on sale at bass pro) and an expensive rod you are still sitting at under 200 for a great outfit. Many reels start at that price. Its all marketing hype. Save the money, buy more lures, a nice box, a few misc and get fishing.

Keep a tight line.
